Our History

In 1974, FCCGW was established in  Washington D.C.  For 46 years,

Many of our members have been making efforts to find better solutions to the conflicts in

minority communities in Washington D.C metropolitan area.

Korean Family Law Counseling Center was established, Board of Directors configured, the inauguration of the first chairperson Soon Young Lee

1985.05.05

Renamed as The Korean Family Relation and Legal Advice Clinic (located office at 4920 Piney Branch Road, NW, Washington DC 20011) after Opening Ceremony for counseling practice, Sook Ja Bang was appointed as executive director. Started mental health counseling

<Family Law Counseling Center> first issue on the Washington branch was published

2nd Chairperson Hye Won Beak appointed

Renamed to <The Korean Family Counseling & Research Center> registered in IRS as a nonprofit organization
