P2P Fall 2025 Scholarship Announcement

The Family Counseling Center of Greater Washington presented in collaboration with the Kim Sohn Foundation, aims to inspire and empower the next generation to develop bold visions

for their future and achieve meaningful milestones.


*Eligibility

  1. Only open to FCC 2025 Fall P2P Mentors.

*Scholarship Requirements

  1. Vision Essay

    • Read Dr. David Sohn's Autobiography:   "Divine Vision and Milestones: A Global Vision Beyond the American Dream"


    • Write an essay reflecting on your own vision and milestones inspired by the book.

      • Essay Guidelines

        • Length: Minimum 800 words, Maximum 1,000 words

        • ** Not meeting the word count will be disqualified**

        • Submit your essay online via  this link: Google Form

  2. Letter of Recommendation

    • One professional letter of recommendation (e.g., teacher, pastor, community leader).

    • Must be written on the official letterhead of the organization or institution.

  3. Review Process

    • All essays will be blind-reviewed by a panel of volunteer educators using a shared rubric

*Awards

  • Trailblazer Award: $3,000 (1 recipient)

  • Pathfinder Award: $2,000 (1 recipients)

  • Rising Visionary Award: $1,000 (5 recipient)

*Important Dates

  • Essay Submission Period: September 22 – October 22, 2025

  • Review Process: External Use for the Web ad

    • All essays will be blind-reviewed by a panel of volunteer educators using a shared rubric.

    • Final decisions will consider essay scores, letters of recommendation, and reviewer feedback.

    • The rubric is available on the P2P website to help students understand how their work will be evaluated.

  • Announcement of Recipients: November 1, 2025 (via P2P Website)

  • Award Ceremony: November 8, 2025

    • **Held during the  Annual Fundraising Luncheon from 11 AM to 2 PM

    • Location: Army Navy Country Club 1700 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA 22202

This scholarship is more than an award, it’s a recognition of your leadership, care, and growth.
