  • Soo W. Han, MD, DLFAPA

    Professional Volunteer

    Dr. Han has over 40 years of experience in the practice of psychiatry and has served as Director of Child/Adolescent Psychiatry in various inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings, and in treating adults and children/adolescent patients with suicidal risk, substance abuse, and all aspects of mental health care.

    He has been dedicated and committed to provide free 15 minutes consultation on every Tuesday (9am to 12:30pm), psychiatric assessments, and medication management (1:30pm to 5pm) for last 10 years.

  • Chunshin Taylor, Ph.D., LCPC (MD), LPC (VA), NCC, ACS, BC-TMH

    Supervisor

    Dr. Chun-Shin is a specialist in Asian-mixed interracial couples, biracial individuals, mixed family, and their children with nearly 20 years of experiences. She has an extensive clinical education and experience in treatment in coping with mental illness, premarital counseling, and relational traumas, such as affair, domestic violence, sexual betrayal, out of control sexual behaviors, partners of sex addicts.
    Chun-Shin is a certified Imago Relationship Therapist (CIRT), Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialist (APSATS) Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT), Certified Positive Psychology Practitoner, and AASECT Certified sex therapist who utilized eclectic approaches to improve overall quality of life. She is also a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator, Strong Interest Inventory administrator (career assessment), and NEO personality assessment administrator.
    Further, she is an approved supervisor in MD and VA as well as Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). Lastly, she teaches at the department of Counseling Education and Family Studies at Liberty University as an adjunct faculty.

  • Eunice Kim, MA

    Executive Director

    Eunice has dedicated her career to advancing the interests of the community around her, with a particular focus on the needs of underserved groups in the U.S., South Korea, and China. Over the last decade, she founded and led a nonprofit that provided direct services to North Korean refugees in the U.S., South Korea, and China, while also leading the children's ministries at various churches where she has served. Eunice also has worked as an entrepreneur in the educational space, and has engaged with hundreds of students as a guest speaker specializing in primary education. She has a BA in history from the University of California at Riverside, and an MA in educational leadership from Gateway Seminary.

    Ms. Kang is passionate about working with adults and teens with anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, relationship issues, school challenges, or improving personal development and growth. Based on her training and experience, she uses psychodynamic principles, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based treatments. Through warmth and acceptance in her practice, she strives to create an environment where her clients feel safe in sharing their intimate struggles and where they may discover and apply their inner strengths along with problem-solving and coping skills to manage their obstacles. She would like to encourage them to allow her to work with and learn from them.

    Eva Pratt has served in various education roles for the past 15 years as an educator and administrator. Her outgoing personality and leadership skills have allowed her to be a successful teacher and enabled her to meet, teach, and learn from many students. She is exceptional in communicating and finding talents in students. She looks forward to applying her years of experience to contribute to the success of the P2P program. Not to mention, she is constantly looking for ways to better the Korean-American society as a proud, intelligent Korean-American. Eva brings joy with her bright smile to everyone around her inside and outside of the office.

    Ms. Lee serves from college students to adults, and her area of focus includes anxiety, depression, grief/loss, self-esteem issues, behavior modification, social skills, parenting skills, family relationships, and trauma.

    She utilizes an integrated approach with psychodynamic, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and couple and family therapy. She will tailor to each client’s unique need and goals and challenges clients to develop new skills, awareness, and insights to aid in healing and manage stress in their lives.

    Ms. Lee serves adults and seniors mainly, and her area of focus includes marriage and family counseling, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting, relationship issues, and social skills. She is currently a Candidate of Doctor of Clinical Pastoral Counseling program from Washington University of Virginia where she is getting trained about working with clients from wide range of backgrounds.

    She visits senior apartments or nursing homes to provide individual and group counseling and mental health programs to promote overall well-being of elders. Her passion is to help individuals especially, seniors, couples, and families to deal with challenges of daily living effectively and productively.

  • Dawoon Diana Lee

    Dr. Lee serves from age eight to adult, and her specialty includes anxiety, depression, relationship issues, adjustment, self-esteem, and communication and conflict resolution skills. She also directs the Peer to Peer mentoring and tutoring program and conducts youth seminars at our agency. Her passion to assist teens and their parents to adopt effective coping skills and problem-solving strategies, and set and achieve their goals.

    She has a clear understanding of the physical, mental, and behavioral development of children and adolescents. She is highly-trained to promote clients and their families to make effective and meaningful advances in their lives, relationships, and happiness.

    Mila is a clinical social worker who serves children to young adults of various backgrounds. Her passion for the well-being of this population brought her to focus on some of the mental health concerns, including depression, PTSD, grief, and anxiety.

    Her goal is to provide a safe and comfortable space to support clients in expressing, exploring, and gaining insight of themselves and their situations. She believes people have the potential and resiliency to navigate life challenges when provided with the right support. She also explores healthy and appropriate coping strategies to strengthen their resiliency. She works hand in hand with the clients to best fit their needs.

    Mila received her BS in Family Science from the University of Maryland and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland.

  • Juwon Kim

    Sophomore at James Madison University.

    Juwon started volunteering at the FCCGW to help young Korean students who immigrated to the United States like him. He has a lot of ideas, is full of passion and spirit, and is achieving high results in his work. He is currently working as a P2P Coordinator Intern to improve fellow Korean-Americans’ lives.

    Majoring in financing at James Medison, he studies hard during the semester and works during the breaks. He dreams of pursuing an MBA in the United States, becoming a financial expert, and playing an important role in bridging the United States and Korea.
