Peer-to-Peer Program

Peer-to-Peer Program

FCCGW’s Peer-to-Peer is a helper-buddy mentoring matching program designed to provide social and emotional learning opportunities to participants, equipping them with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to achieve healthy and successful futures.

The buddy (1st to 10th grade) is a student who receives assistance for academic and social improvement from a helper.

A helper (9th to 12th grade) is a qualified high school student who has excelled academically and is fully satisfied with the P2P helper requirements.

This bi-directional relationship allows many helpers to develop strong leadership skills and opportunities for empowering and rewarding experiences. In contrast, the buddy can improve academically and feel more connected with the community through these positive and supportive relationships. Furthermore, the helpers who participated in this program are eligible to apply for the President's Volunteer Service Award by fulfilling the required hours.
